A dream of mine was fulfilled last year when I was at my local record shop. I was flipping through the new releases and found “That’s All I Wanted” by Elizabeth Moen—the first record I designed to be released on vinyl. It was a moment of pride and excitement, a moment that stoked the fire in my belly. All I could think about was being 14 again and how lucky I was to be able to do what I love.

Liz and I have been working together for almost three years on various projects. She was a talented local musician and a friend of a friend who needed a cover for her EP. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity. Since that first album, we’ve done two more LPs, t-shirts, and have completed a handful of posters for shows this year.

Working on these projects have driven me to push my designs, push my skills, and put out my best work. I’ve learned a lot about my process and how projects come together. I have always loved staying up until the early hours of the morning drawing and designing, and these projects have given me that reason again.
